The Pinellas Partners Steering Committee recently met to discuss new developments
that have taken place during Moffitt’s 25th Anniversary Year.

Governor Rick Scott praised Moffitt, following his first tour of the research facilities and
hospital. “This is clearly a state asset,” he said, due to the number of lives it saves and the
jobs it creates. Moffitt has more than 4,000 employees, is the third largest U.S. cancer
center in patients seen and Florida’s only NCI-designated cancer center.

Also in the news, a new Moffitt facility opened its doors on July 1 in a convenient
location near International Plaza in Tampa.
Moffitt International will provide the same
outstanding care as its main campus, with increased technology and a location accessible
for patients in Pinellas, southern Hillsborough and central and west Pasco counties.

The Pinellas Partners Steering Committee has secured
February 9th at the Belleview Biltmore for a
cocktail reception featuring Moffitt’s program leaders from the Donald A. Adam Comprehensive Melanoma
Research Center -  Dr. Weber and Dr. Sondak.  We encourage all members to come and renew their
membership, as well as bring guests that may be interested in joining.

As always, tours of any Moffitt facility are encouraged for all Pinellas Partners members and their guests.
